Ok, mosquitos are bad enough, but outside the window to my office is a big wasp nest…
Needless to say, I don’t like stinging insects… but there are there… waiting for the opportunity to get me. And I want them gone.
As much as I like the outdoors, hiking, camping, and biking, I’m an absolute punk when it comes to wasps, bees, and other stinging creatures.. I just don’t like em. Or more to the point, I don’t like being stung. See, I know what they are capable of. Last summer, we were camping in Western Washington and they got Kushi, my dog and stung her face.
The few times I’ve been stung, I’ve had similar swelling and pain. With those bugs hanging out above my office window, I can’t even open up to experience any fresh air when the heat up (mid to upper 90s) comes later today and tomorrow. Anyhow, it is just a slight annoyance. We have air conditioning, so I don’t need my window open. It’s more the idea that I am trapped by my own fear of being stung as well as the reality that they are hanging out my window, even if their intent purpose is not to sting me.
