Khalil is a husband, father, PhD candidate, teacher, community activist, and part-time administrator/bureaucrat. The most important things he does every day is talk to his daughters, tell them how much he loves them, spend time with his wife, play with his dog, and contribute to his communities.

As a scholar, his research agenda is broad and can best be understood as exploring the intersections between organizations, social justice, agency, and voice. His recent focus has been in the voluntary and non-profit sector, specifically with grass-root non-profit advocacy organizations.

He is proud of his administrative work at a state institution in Eastern Washington (that he won’t name for fear he will be told to add a silly clause in his personal webpage that his views don’t represent the views of his institution or some similar load of scata) where he works with first generation, low-income, and disabled college students. His primary goal with those students is to help them be successful in school and graduate.
